Mac OSX Streaming Video recording

Record that streaming video on to your mac

You've got that streaming video in your browser. You want to save it on your Mac. Here is how.
  • Open QuickTime Player on your Mac
  • Go to File -> New Screen Recording
  • Choose (from the drop down menu as shown in pic below)
    •  Built-in Microphone
    • Quality -> Hight
    • Save to -> Desktop (Or wherever you prefer)

  • Press the Record button and Choose a part of the screen where the video is playing. Press Start Recording.
  • If you want to record full screen:
    • Start streaming on Full screen.
    • Press Command->Tab to swtch to QuickTime
    • from the View Menu, Select Float On Top
    • Now press Record.
  • When finished, press the Stop button and check your Desktop for the latest Recording.
  • Audio is being recorded thru the built in microphone. Make sure there is no background noise, else that too would be recorded with the video. If you have a Line In as well as Headphones out connectors on your mac, you can get better quality audio. For this, connect the 'Line In' input, to the 'Headphone' output using a 3.5 inch male to male stereo jack (shown below)
  •   Choose Built-in Input: Line In (See pic below).
